Ready. Set. WRITE! (Week 5)

This week, for your viewing pleasure, I have A MOVIE! The below is a testament to my whiz bang skillz w/technology. *makes rude snorty noise*

Background music Mismatch Media

Fav lines: Mo smiles, and I smile back and it hits me that we’re having a conversation. A friendly one, where the hot beast beneath my skin hasn’t roared up once, and I haven’t had to imagine Mo dying not a single frosty death to keep it abated.

Books in video:
The Sinister Sweetness of Splendid Academy by Nikki Loftin
Below by Megan McKinlay
The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stevens
Plumb Crazy by Molly Blaisdell (I read this on my Nook, and it's since died and I can't find my charger, hence the pink piece of paper in lieu of a cover. To view the cover, simply clink on the link via PC's title.)

So. Yeah. I suck at movie making but after struggling with this for two days* I wasn't about to let all that precious time & effort go to waste. Now who wants me to do their book trailer?!?! Haha. ;)

RSW! is a summer writing intensive hosted by Erin L. FunkJaime MorrowAlison Miller, & Katy Upperman. A list of participants can be found on any of the host's blogs. Feel free to send out some encouragement as we battle the summer heat for writing domination! Or something like that.

* First I tried to do a video of me. But my words moved like the blessed speed of light and left me still chatting at the end...with no more words. Tried the video on the computer. It made a noise like a cheese grater in pain(very. shrill.). Next day, did a better video than the one above, and tried to use Windows Live Movie Maker to add text. Lets not talk about how that went.

  1. I think your video is great, Leandra! I've read SINISTER SWEETNESS but none of the others yet (but PLUMB CRAZY is already on my Kindle). I will definitely have to check them out. Good luck tackling your writing goals this week!

  18. congrats on being close to revising your WIP! best feeling ever. and your video is better than anything I ever did! I took broadcast journalism as a major and I have NO IDEA how I got by. My brother basically helped (and by helped I mean he did all my hw for me) for my television production class *not proud* hehe :P
